Comment on Snow! by Jeff Lehart

I don't know when you went out but I saw no snow plows period. I was out around town getting essentials so I was around. Where were you when you seen them? I was through Harding and Portland Way and my road still hasn't seen much of plow work. I seen many individuals plowing. Saw some plows a day later.

Russ, I know it is frustrating when the plow seems to "block" in your driveway. I get frustrated at that too. Then I think about how long the job would take if the plow driver stopped and raised his blade in front of every driveway. Jeff, I saw city plows out through the whole snowstorm and after. They had pickups and tractors out too. I even saw a line dept pickup with a blade plow out a driveway so an ambulance could get in. You might not have seen them where you were, just wanted to let you know what I saw. SDT211-Outstanding Job! I know it was most likely much appreciated.

This is what makes a community. This city with its idiot government does have a great community.

I was part of what makes this town great. Yesterday there was a guy stuck as he tried to enter the Galion Diner (Millie’s) so I pulled into East Chicago Pizza got out started to cross the street and another guy pulls in gets out of his car and joins me. We couldn’t get it on the 1st attempt but then a couple more guys stop, when it was all said and done there was 6 or 7 of us that got this guy back on the road again. It may have taken a whole 5 minutes out of my busy day but it was worth every second. I did not know the guy that was stuck nor any of the guys that helped push him out but it didn’t matter. We have basically all been stuck at one time or another and just need a little push to get us going again.
