Any opinions on the legislation being presented by the Galion Health Dept to Galion City Council reguarding the Farmers Market uptown? Do other cities have such legislation for markets being held within city limits?

The state of Ohio addressed this issue nearly a decade ago.

As is usual the case, the city of Galion simply ignores state laws.

The only concern, based on an outside observation would be the baked goods sold at the markets.

At the markets in Worthington, the city imposes nothing on them, does not interfere, and does just the opposite. They encourage it as it brings the uptown to life with hundreds, if not thousands of people from all over.
This also goes a little deeper into what is classified as the " COTTAGE CATTEGORY " concerning baked goods..

This is from Franklin county..

City of Columbus, which also covers Worthington.

ZERO hassles...ZERO inspections

The city of Galion just wants a piece of the action...even though it is illegal.

Next they will want to tax the trick or treaters haul.
