Opening day is right around the corner for baseball, and Galion's own JB Shuck is making waves with the Houston Astros.
Not only is playing with the major league club, he is pounding the ball as well.
Today's line up, he is in it.

His stats in spring ball with the ASTROS are good with a .292 average. You can also see video of him in action.

His chance to play in the majors looks very, very close.

Normally by this time, those that don't have a chance at the majors this year are relegated to the lower ranks, AAA, AA, A teams and travel with them.
He's close....very close.

As it is right now, the ASTROS have 42 players on the team, last remaing position to be selected is the remaning outfielder position. If there is a time to shine JB, it is now. Good luck in the next few days,

Anthony -- I have it on good authority that the final cuts will occur on Thursday. We're pulling for J.B. here at GalionLive!

JB does not start the season with the ASTROS. Even though he out performed, out hit Carlos Lee, he does not get the slot.

At some point in time this season, he will be called up to the majors.
He opens up AAA ball in Oklahoma City .
