What you need are two things:
1. Opportunity.
2. Marketing.
Galion has opportunity in the form of location, workforce, currently empty buildings. What Galion lacks is a comprehensive, consistent and effective economic development effort.
It appears that the stategy that the 20/20 Economic vision team is going to solely rely on existing county businesses to grow and prosper in the future. The problem with this thinking is Crawford County does not have the financial people like Cobey and such of as in the past. Those days are long gone.
This is a huge mistake and Crawford County is missing the great exodus out of California. Businesses there can not load up the moving vans fast enough to get out of high taxes, utilities and regulation that is choking them to death.

On average now, every week, 8 firms employing 50 or more employees leave California.
Dave Williamson more than three years ago was advised to look at this approach and has done absolutely nothing.
This is the California Gold Rush in reverse and if you have to pan for it.
