Is your street plowed?
I don't know about you, but I haven't seen snow plows in Galion for hours (or even days). I had to come up Cherry Street yesterday, and thought for a moment that I was somewhere in the Arctic.
We live in a city with one of the best snowplow manufacturers in the country, and we can't even seem to do basic road maintenance. I know we're in fiscal crisis or whatever it is, but gee, surely we can do better.

My parents live in Galion on the north end of town when I came over to see them yesterday I thought I was going to get thrown into another car becasue the ruts were so bad. Does Galion even have snow plows an more? My parents said they had not seen a plow on their street in some time but I guess this is how the city wants to treat the folks that live here. I would be ashamed if I ran this city.

If they don't want to work hire ones that do. Let them stand before a grievance committe and cry.
Disband all the city unions, don't want to work, go somewhere else.
TOY is proud of this ?
Galion has always been lazy and sloppy removing snow, they have hit a new low now. From pictures sent to me this is unbelieveable.
Watch them congratulate each other next city council meeting.
Who are they getting kickbacks from ?
The body shops and tow truck companies ?

Just because you pay more than anyone else in the county for streets what makes you think you're actually gonna get more service ! Besides the city is in negotiations for pay raises !
Permalink Reply by Melanie Z. on February 8, 2011 at 8:42am IT IS TOO BAD THAT SOMEONE HAS TO COMPLAIN ABOUT SOMETHING TO GET SOMETHING DONE ....THAT THEY HAVE TO DO ANYWAY. IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING.....STREETS WERE PLOWED IN EAST END AT 7PM.

Lexington which is much smaller than Galion has already used 200 tons of salt on their roads so far this winter.

Galion has used 25.
Permalink Reply by Girl Next Door on February 9, 2011 at 8:21am My street isn't plowed either. what absolutely kills me is that most everyone who has a job lives on the side streets which never seem to get plowed....not that industry is booming here in Galion
JEFF WHICH 3 ARE UP.
