The election in November
For those that do not like the way Galion has and is being run, your chance to change things starts now.
Run for office !! Get of the couch and your soap box and run.
Listen to your fellow citizens.
Do what's right, become informed.
In some precincts you need to only collect two hundred votes to win.
The only two questions you have to ask when you run in your precinct to the voters are these :
1. Are you better off since X has held their city council seat ?
2. Is Galion better off since X has held their city council seat ?
First ward held by Dave " Silent " Smith is up for grabs
Third Ward held by Gail Baldinger is up for grabs
At large seat held by Shirley " Ice Rink " Clark is up for grabs
It's now or never, Galion can not afford anymore of the same leadership.

So I take it from your nasty ongoing comments and your "call to action" that you are intending to actually move back to Galion and run for office yourself? If not, I suggest you find something else to do with your obviously ample time.

Gee it is really odd how people who don't even live in Galion knows so much about what is going on ( at least they want you to think they know ) as for the ice rink if you can make it freeze please be my guest we have tried to get it to freeze for 2 years guess we just don't blow as much smoke or ice as you do.. thanks Melanie you are so right

Shirley if want an ice skating rink go back to what the city did in the late 70's and early 80's fill the tennis courts with water (about an inch deep) and clear the snow. It sure seemed to work back then I don't see why it wouldn't work now other than it being July.

well George that is just what we plan to do .. Have had several ice rinks tell me that do to the ground being so warm under the concrete at the East Park as soon as the sun comes out the ice that has formed will turn to mush and they are so right we have tried .. so we do hope to use the tennis court at heise park as for Ice Hockey rinks they have freezer units to keep the ice already have been in contact with some of them ..we get all these coments from people who cannot even manage there own lives and there own finances try so hard to make people on here think they know what is going on they need to get a life we as council people are trying very hard to make Galion a good place to live

There was hope you would do something about the fraudulent billing for stormwater, you sure let that vanish fron the discussion one you brought once you brought it up in city council.
How much has Galion fraudlulently billed citizens that shouldn't have over many years ?
100,000...200,000...300,000 dollars ?

Good luck Shirley I hope it works for the sake of Galion but what about East Park? This park gets so left out and it is an absolute shame.
As for people who cannot manage their finances or their lives just remember they vote and live here also and more important their voices must be heard just the same as the people on the city council or the same as a trust fund baby.
Even though I do not necessarily agree with everything Anthony posts he does make some very good and valid points that are worth listening too, so I would hope that the council members do pay attention to what he is posting and at least explore it to see if there is any creed to what he says.

Why don't you have the gumption to demand TOY to produce anything from ODOT STATING that they are going to widen Portland Way ? Dated this year.
Why don't you ask TOY why he is mispending 850,000 dollars of bond money on the Shoemaker Ditch ?
You do realize that is against state a federal laws. If you are in on it, you'll go down with him.
You have accomplished absolutely nothing in your term besides blowing over 40,000 dollars destroying what was left of east pool in an insane attemp to turn it into an ice rink.
