What happens when people don't pay attention

Obviously the Bauer - Honsey financial disaster because too many people were asleep.

Now this outageous story out of Bell, California.

This working class poor comunity was paying their city manager 800 K a year, and he has set himself up with a 600K a year pension.

The city managers pay should be pegged to their level of experience and past performance.

Having anyone in Galion making more than a fultime mayor of a community with 5 times the population does not make any sense.

Did the Police and Fire happen to mention that their contract is up January 1st? Will they take a wage freeze to keep officers from being laid off? Does anyone know how much they make with benefits and how much the city will owe the fire chief when he retires? Do we really know what the money will be used for? Why didn't the chief speak at the rally? Why were prewritten questions answered by the fire dept? How much did the fire dept. lose by handling EMS? Did you know that the sherriffs dept. is getting 10 new cruisers from the stimulous money? Did you know that the police dept. only asked for equipment for existing cruisers?Why must each sherriff deputy drive their own cruisers home? When did the sherriffs dept. ever stop a crime in progress?Why does the DOJ want to go over the cities budget? Don't ask/don't tell seems to be the norm anymore.
